Make sure you talk it out and see what they need in order to feel appreciated. You may have noticed that type 2’s may seem oddly angry, and have strong emotional responses, this is usually only when their needs are not being met. They crave affection so words of affirmation and letting you know how you feel about them will go a long way. Often, they don’t feel like they can’t come to a decision until they have had time to verbalize.īe sure to encourage them to be their authentic selves, be honest, and share what they are feeling. The next most important thing you need to know is that type 2’s are VERBAL processors and need time in order to talk things through. Involved, socially aware, usually extroverted, Twos are the type of people who remember everyones birthday and who go. Giving to others is their reason for being. They may be hard workers, but no one deserves to have the hard work or kindness taken advantage of. People of this personality type essentially feel that they are worthy insofar as they are helpful to others. It should come as no surprise by now that 2’s are hard workers and invaluable to your operation, but, first things first DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT take advantage of them. Type 2’s work best when their needs are being met, use the tips below and evaluate how well you might be meeting their needs. If you have found yourself struggling to connect with type 2’s it could be a number of reasons. The Enneagram type 2 personality focuses on loving and helping others. There are nine different Enneagram types, but for now, let’s take a look at type 2’s and how to best get along with them in the workplace. That’s why I use enneagrams as a tool in my coaching, it helps me help others have a deeper understanding of themselves and of others. Some might look at enneagrams at face value and think they are interesting, but when you take an enneagram and use it as a tool, it’s like the whole world is opening up its doors to you.
